How to book
Read the Booking Procedure and then Click on Book now.
You will be asked to :
- Choose your dates
- Complete Student Participant details
- Complete Parents details
- Pay deposit [€100] online or by cheque
You will receive a confirmation with a Booking Reference on your screen and a further confirmation by email. Please note the Booking Reference. You will need your booking reference in order to update your booking at a later stage.
Please Note: we cannot guarantee finding a host family for every applicant. When this occurs the parents of the applicant will be informed and the deposit will be fully reimbursed.
Once you have received your Booking Reference you will be able to Update Your Booking. You may also consult your booking at any time. [See link “Consult/ Update Your Booking” on the Homepage.]
How to update your booking
Update your booking consists of (a) supplying documents for the French family, (b) providing your flight details and (c) paying the balance due.
Documents for the French family
You will be asked to suppply :
- A Lettre de Motivation (in English or in French or mixed English/French) explaining to your future host family why you would like to go to France.
- A Family Album (1, 2, or 3 photos)
The procedure to complete the above documents on line is very straightforward and is clearly explained on the “Consult/Update your Booking” page.
It is not necessary that these documents be completed on the same day as the booking but we do advise you to complete them within a reasonable delay. These documents are important. They will assist us in selecting a suitable family. And they will help the French family to organise an agreeable hosting experience for their guest. You will receive a confirmation email for each completed document.
Organising your flight to France
DO NOT RESERVE THE FLIGHT TO FRANCE UNTIL WE HAVE INFORMED YOU THAT A SUITABLE FAMILY HAS BEEN SELECTED FOR THE STUDENT PARTICIPANT AND RECOMMENDING AN ARRIVAL AIRPORT WHERE THE STUDENT PARTICIPANT WILL BE MET BY HIS HOSTING FRENCH FAMILY OR OUR AGENT.
When you have been informed that French family has been selected and when you have received details of the recommended arrival airport (example Bordeaux), you should reserve the flights without delay. And then update your booking. Go to the “Consult/Update your Booking” page and follow the procedure.
If you wish to change the original dates due to lack of flights or lack of cheap fares please contact us by telephone or email (see Contact page). If necessary we will be able to change the dates. You will receive a confirmation email of your flight details
If you wish to reserve the flight to an arrival airport other than the recommended one you may do so (For example you may choose PARIS as your arrival airport rather than BORDEAUX, the recommended airport). It is advisable that you discuss this with us by telephone or email. Once flight arrangements have been agreed, update your booking.
Arriving at an airport other than the recommended one will incur an extra charge for our Meet & Greet Service. In these cases the student participant will be met by our agent at the arrival airport and transferred either by train (accompanied) or by air. If the onward transport is by air the student participant will be accompanied from the arrival point to the check in for the onward flight. The student participant will be met on arrival of the onward flight by hosting French family or our agent. The charge for this Meet & Greet Service is €200.
Payment of the balance due
YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO PAY THE BALANCE DUE UNTIL WE HAVE INFORMED YOU THAT A SUITABLE FAMILY HAS BEEN SELECTED FOR THE STUDENT PARTICIPANT.
As soon as you have been informed that the French family has been selected you should pay the balance due without delay. Go to the “Consult/Update your Booking” page and follow the procedure.
You will receive a confirmation email that the balance due has been paid.
