Terms and conditions
Deposit : A deposit of €100 is required when the Booking is made.
Payment of the balance due : the balance due should not be paid until IntoFrance has confirmed that a suitable family has been selected for the student participant. As soon as IntoFrance has confirmed that a suitable family has been selected for the student participant the balance due should be paid without delay.
Please Note: we cannot guarantee finding a host family for every applicant. When this occurs the parents of the applicant will be informed and the deposit will be fully reimbursed.
Cancellation and Refunds
If you wish to cancel your booking, you must notify IntoFrance in writing or by email. The date of cancellation is the date on which IntoFrance receives your written notice or your email.
If you cancel your booking anytime up to and including the day before the departure, you will be liable for the deposit of €100 only. Any sums paid over and above the deposit of €100 will be refunded by IntoFrance.
If you cancel your booking on the day of departure or after the day of departure, you will be liable for 100% of the cost of the Homestay. If you do not arrive in France on the commencing date of the Homestay you will be liable for 100% of the cost of the Homestay, even if you have not formally cancelled your booking. If you interrupt the Homestay before the completion date, IntoFrance will not be liable for any refunds.
The prices of Homestays in France organised by IntoFrance do not include travel to and from France regardless of whether the mode of travel is by plane, train or bus. The person responsible for booking the Homestay must organise the travel arrangements (flights etc.) to and from the airport in France recommended by IntoFrance. You should not finalise your travel arrangements (flights etc.) until IntoFrance notifies you that your host family in France has been confirmed.
The person responsible for booking the Homestay is responsible for obtaining for the participant all necessary travel documents including, but not limited to, a valid passport, a valid visa (if necessary), current travel insurance and current health insurance. IntoFrance is not responsible for determining whether or not you need a visa.
The price of Homestays in France organised by IntoFrance do not include any transfers within France from the airport of arrival to the airport recommended by IntoFrance, if the person responsible for booking the Homestay decides to organise the travel arrangements to and from an airport in France other than the airport recommended by IntoFrance. IntoFrance will organise a Meet & Greet service in these cases which will include the transfer cost at a charge of €200 subject to prior agreement between IntoFrance and the person responsible for the booking.
Reserved rights of IntoFrance
In the following paragraph “Parents” means the parents or legal guardians of the participant
In cases of repeated incidents of unacceptable behaviour or of lack of willingness by the participant to conform in the expected manner to the French family environment, IntoFrance reserves the right to ask the parents of the participant to request the participant to improve his/her behaviour. If after such intervention the situation fails to improve then IntoFrance reserves the right to interrupt the Homestay and to request the parents of the participant to repatriate the participant at their expense.
In cases of theft or other criminal behaviour or of the use and consumption of illegal drugs or substances or in cases of alcohol abuse, IntoFrance reserves the right to request a disciplinary repatriation. All expenses in such cases will be borne by the parents. In case of repatriation the parents must agree to meet the participant at the arrival airport in the participant’s home country or agree to nominate another person to meet the participant or agree to the participant travelling alone.
Any unusual damage caused by the participant during the stay in France will be the financial responsibility of the parents of the participant.
Complaints must be notified to intoFrance within one month following the termination of the Homestay.
If a participant has a complaint or encounters any difficulties during the Homestay IntoFrance should be advised as soon as possible so that they can intervene with minimum delay and thus resolve any difficulties and permit the participant to complete his stay satisfactorily. The IntoFrance team is available and can be contacted 7/7 during the period that participants are in France.
IntoFrance will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to personnel effects.
